Simply dispose of food waste into the Vuala system and let the technology handle the rest. The system automatically processes food waste using Vuala's proprietary digestion technology, which acts as an artificial stomach, breaking down organic material into a stable liquid slurry.

Along the way, the system automates many of the manual tasks traditionally associated with food waste management, including lifting, weighing, tipping, emptying, and refreshing food waste containers. It also automatically separates common contaminants such as plastic film, packaging, bin liners, disposable cutlery, and other non-food items that may accidentally enter the waste stream.

The treated food waste is transferred directly into a sealed 1,000-litre storage tank, allowing it to be stored safely and odour-free for extended periods. This significantly reduces collection frequency, lowers transportation costs, and minimises operational disruption.

Once collected, the treated food waste is supplied to energy recovery facilities where it is converted into renewable energy, helping power homes and businesses across the United Kingdom while supporting a more sustainable circular economy.

Every Vuala subscription is delivered as a fully managed service, providing everything required to operate the system with no upfront capital investment.

Your monthly subscription includes the leasing of a Vuala food waste treatment system, professional installation and commissioning, ongoing servicing and maintenance, technical support, food waste collections, and a complete storage solution.

Each installation includes ten 20-litre food waste caddies, a Vuala treatment system capable of processing up to 100kg of food waste per day, and an external 1,000-litre storage tank designed to reduce collection frequency and logistics costs.

Vuala retains ownership of all equipment and assumes responsibility for maintenance, servicing, future upgrades, and operational support. This allows customers to benefit from the latest technology without the burden of equipment ownership, depreciation, or replacement costs.

Most customers achieve significant reductions in waste management expenditure, labour requirements, and collection costs, with average annual savings exceeding £27,000.
